There is no responsible one-line answer to the best business in Big Ambitions until its costs, staffing and demand are tested in the current 1.0 build. This page is the working tier list: it ranks business paths by how useful they are for a given stage, not by an invented universal profit number.

Provisional tier list

The Steam page confirms examples of businesses including gift shops, supermarkets, coffee shops, law firms, clothing stores, liquor stores and florists. It does not publish a profitability table for them. For that reason, this list avoids claiming that one named business is always the best without a reproducible test.

How to move a business up the list

Track four things in the same save: fixed building costs, equipment and renovation spend, staffing costs, and the stock or supply loop. Then record revenue over the same in-game period. A business that looks attractive because of gross sales can still be weak if it needs expensive equipment, frequent restocking or too much player travel.

Use the best starting business guide for the opening decision and the most profitable businesses guide for later comparisons. The store equipment guide is the next reference when a business fails because its setup is incomplete.
